Platinum releases Wash My Mail ver. 2.5

If you have been using WashMyMail for a long time or just beginning, the new features in WashMyMail Version 2 extend its capabilities and make it easier to user. This release features:

User Interface Updates

• Consolidate action buttons to allow for a friendlier interface.
• Enhance action buttons to allow for more functionality.
• Added List Manager for easier management of your Good and Junk list email addresses and domains.
• Improved page navigation to allow for easier transitions to additional email pages.
• Added pop-up blocker detectors to inform users if their software blocked a window from opening.
• Replaced Recent Mail with Archived Mail.

Spam Filtering Improvements

• Improved detection and handling of spammer techniques that try to trick spam filters.
• We have sped up our filtering process to allow for your mail to be scanned quicker than ever.
• Web site links contained in the message are checked against daily updated databases that track sites that advertise with spam, known spam sources, and spam services.
• Added ability for users to send messages that have gotten through the filters to help train the spam filter engines.
• Sender Policy Framework (SPF) has been added to the system to deter the amount of forged (spoofed) emails that get sent.
• Other proprietary changes have been added to aid in the filtering process of spam.

Virus Filtering Improvements

• Upgraded virus software to perform a more in-depth scan of attachments. Any viruses found are stopped before they are saved to your account. Virus filters are now updated every 4 hours.

User Options

• Choose your threshold of filtering. If you want to be more aggressive with filtering of spam then you can change your setting to high and have more spam stopped or you can lower the threshold to allow more email through. By default your email will be scanned at a medium level.
• You can now choose how many emails load on your email page, 10, 20, 50, or all.
• Change the display type to allow for the preview pane to appear or disappear. If you choose the preview pane option you can preview the email in our preview pane. If you choose webmail style then your window will open in a full window allow you to red more of the message without scrolling.

Email Spam Report

• Have a possible spam and blocked spam report emailed to you daily or weekly. This will allow you to see what messages WMM has blocked without having to log into the site. You can also allow or resend messages right from the email.
